Fight Against Poverty Association, a Nonprofit Corporation
The Founder and President
Dr. Betty Dlamini was inspired to start to initiate this nonprofit
organization following her experience as a researcher, focused on
Women Empowerment. Her latest research conducted in 2020, in the
Kingdom of Eswatini led to her having an encounter with diligent
women who use their skills and available resources to earn income to
support themselves and their families, especially children. Some of the
women go beyond supporting their own families to supporting orphaned
children and elderly community members who are no longer able to
support themselves. The horrifying findings of the research included the
fact that diligent and skilled as the women were, they lacked resources to
engage in the income generating projects in a substantial way because
they did not even have any startup funds. Some of them work from hand
to mouth without even seeing what is supposed to be their profit.

Our nonprofit organization focuses on four initiatives: 1) support for Eswatini orphaned children’s education, 2) rural women’s empowerment projects, 3) Eswatini youth farming initiative, and 4) Indiana children’s initiative.  Although all four initiatives are vital to us, we urgently need to address the orphaned young people’s educational needs and assistance for the Setsembel’enkosini women of Maphiveni, who currently have no building to make their small income-generating products. The women’s building will cost $8,000.00, including the builder’s fee and the utensils they will need.

Our orphaned students, currently at the BSA Vocational Training Center in Eswatini, are in a critical situation. They risk being expelled from the hostel and classes if their fees are not paid before the end of the year. Completing their training at the BSA Training Center is not just a dream for them; it’s their way out of poverty and a bridge to a sustainable livelihood. Your immediate support can make a significant difference in their lives. The orphaned children and young people’s outstanding fees for 2024 and what they need for their final year in training (BSA) and high school for the ones still in school is $12,000.00. This includes tuition fees, uniforms, hostel fee, and food for the BSA students. For our girls in high school this amount includes their fees, uniforms, books, and stationary, bus fare to school, school lunch, and personal care needs.
VIDEO-The Maphiveni women urgently need your help.

Your support can provide these women with a new building, hope, and future. The Maphiveni women also need support with a small building so that they may make their sought-after products and then support their families and the orphaned children under their custody. This need arose after the building they had used all along got demolished because a new school would be built where the building was. Your contribution can be the difference between them having a place to work and supporting their families or not. Your support is crucial and will make a significant impact on their lives.
The stipulate amount of money is for the two urgent needs.
